I'm planning to buy Apple Mac Pro. Guide me.. I kind on inclined to use Apple product. Reason 1, because I see lot of people using Mac in US, Reason 2, I wanna try Apple products.
I recently read that Apple has left behind Microsoft in Margins which made me to think about what is so special in Mac. I'm feeling like Windows is more kind business demanded OS and Mac is getting more towards personal essence.
Deepak, you have one, tell me your exp. If anybody has any other imp point which I should consider before purchasing new Mac... tell me

Prashant@ jo kah raha hai woh sahi hai. apple products are most expensive products in electronics industry except the BOSE product. that is also true that apple doesn't support the pirated CD/DVD. Apple products are so additive that you can't live without them if you are used to.It is very different system and it will take a while to understand it. However I have few points to mention ( these points are not major one which you need to concern about it ) but thought to share.
a) I guess everyone has internet available @ home so in order to listen the songs or watch the movies we use torrent. so market of pirated CD is almost gone ( there are few chance when you encountered a scenario like this but as software engineer these chances are very negligible ).
b)most disadvantage of apple product is that you can install each and every product you want since not every product are build Linux ( Apple always force to do something in certain way ). However if you miss so much windows then still you can go ahead and install as dual boot system
c)I believe that windows is not secure enough even you put lot of anti virus ( thanks to bill gates that lot of anti virus company still getting business just because of window ). I know what the question comes in your mind that why do we need security we do not have any import data. but I guess we still access our bank account and we also do some kind of online shopping ( there are chances that your personal information could be hacked easily ). I am not saying that apple's browser is fool proof but in a replacement you have Mozilla browser for mac.
d) best thing I found in apple products is that you donot have to install any products which we use as daily part of our life.
e) Apple also support all the technology which is open source in market. Rohit probably you are running some kind closed system which are only available on windows but that things say it doesn't make sense to buy apple product.
Overall I would say apple products are reliable enough and they are worth to give a try.

@Prashant, you're right. I went to Apple store to have look of MAC bt not really impressed..
I mean I dont see the value of money which I planned to spent on Mac. Windows and Mac doesnt have a lot of difference bt as I heard frm other mac users and as deepak said, it is addiction. If you use it you will like it

nywyz I liked iPad, it is really nice gadget to have and I kind of liked it.. I dont play games on computer bt I liked wen I played on MAC.
